This is a little different than my usual posts. Today I am sharing with you some of the pictures from the magnificent "Pushkin Ball" that we organized last month for the children at the Russian Sunday school. Pushkin was a Russian author of the Romantic era who is considered by many to be the greatest Russian poet and the founder of modern Russian literature. I played the role of Natalya Goncharova's (Pushkin's wife) friend. After the play was over, all the kids got to dance the waltz, and both of my sons were so excited to dance and swirl around with their mommy. What a great day it was!
Dress, gloves - my own from a beauty pageant I was in 1998 (surprisingly it still fits)
Silver necklace with natural stones - family gift
Here are some of the dresses that the ladies wore to the ball, some were more dressy than others, some were more costume-like than other as well, but since we are heading into the holiday party time, I felt this was the right time to post these.
And here are a couple of adorable little princesses all dressed up for this event.
